Covid-19 Catch Up Premium
At Gardners Lane we have to date received £6,100.00 funding to address the impact of the pandemic upon children’s academic progress and mental health.
At Gardners Lane we will use the bulk of the funding to release, for 3 mornings a week, an experienced Teaching Assistant who is well known to the children to carry out sessions of individual and group catch-up sessions and pastoral support.
The remaining funding will be used to buy-in services such as a counsellor to address the needs of the children most emotionally affected by events surrounding Covid-19.
This will be fully operational when schools resume a normal timetable.
We will assess the impact by using a combination of progress shown on our tracking system, growth on our Federation Whole Child Assessment Framework and by reports on motivation, readiness to learn and engagement from staff.
