All About Year 2
Year 2 is a very important final year in Key Stage 1. We continue to build on the children's progress and help prepare them for life in Key Stage 2 and the juniors.
Term 5 and 6
All Aboard...
Year 2 are taking a tremendous journey around the world looking at the continents and oceans of our world from space. We
are looking at art and food from these continents.
Term 3 and 4
Lights, Camera, Action
Year 2 are looking at Julia Donaldson stories and films. We will be using these to help us identify and learn about different habitats. We are learning about forests using the Gruffalo, jungles with Monkey Puzzle and oceans with Snail and the Whale plus lots more!
Term 1 and 2
Frozen in Time
Year 2 (Classes 5 and 6) are going back in time! We have been transported back to the 17th century to investigate the causes and effects of the Great Fire of London in 1666. We will meet a famous person called Samuel Pepys! We will also be looking at Victorian Britain and finding out about our local area in the Victorian times. We will meet Queen Victoria and Charles Dickens.
