SEND A SMILE APPEAL
November 2009

The children at Gardners Lane have all decorated a tee-shirt to help raise funds for the Blue Peter ‘Send a Smile’ Appeal. The appeal is raising funds to pay for operations for children with cleft lips and pallets in some of the poorest areas of India. The tee-shirts will be used as surgical gowns saving £3 per operation, this money can then be used to pay for more operations.
Many thanks to Portable Kitchens Limited and Spirax Sarco who donated money to buy the tee-shirts for the children to decorate.
The finished products are fantastic. The children, with the help of Mrs Hunt, put on a fashion to show off their brilliant designs. If you are a registered user of the website you can go to the class pages to see what the children looked like in their tee-shirts before they were sent off to the appeal (the tee-shirts, not the children!).
We have put a selection of tee-shirts in the gallery section of the website click here to go to the gallery section.
Enjoy!
